Excellent review! Thanks not only for answering the Test Call but also increasing our Reviews of books, a category that I think is all too thin.

General Edit: You underscore the book's title when used in text, a throwback I suspect to the days when italics couldn't be used on a typewriter. Consider substituting italics for the underscoring.
General Edit: Magazines rate the same recognition as books, so Backpacker should be italicized as well. Or underscored if you stick with that for the book title.

Edit: This is the last paragraph of a rather long quotation, and I don't think it adds much to the point made in the full quote. We discourage long quotations – something the OR reader can do for himself. Consider deleting it. Up to you.
