ATTN: Test Monitors and Editors and Testers

John and I really, really appreciate all that you all do for BGT!  It
wouldn't be the great resource for manufacturers and backpackers otherwise.
But (and you knew there was a "but"), we all have gotten a bit sloppy with
our reviews and reports and the editing.  

 

I am just now going to upload a report I did that even after editing had at
least four different things that needed to be corrected.  Spelling and
grammar checkers are great for catching blatant spelling errors, but the
reports/reviews still need to be READ to make sure the correctly spelled
words are the words that make sense in the sentence as well.

 

Also, please make sure - in test reports - that all three testers use the
same product name in the titles;  REI Sahara Convertible Pants (for
example), not REI Sahara Women's Convertible Pants, or REI Sahara
Convertible Pant.  All the same, please.  Check the manufacturer's link to
make sure it works and goes to the correct manufacturer, not the
manufacturer from your last report.  Remember to add the "thank you" to the
manufacturer and "come back in two months" in your IRs and FRs and to remove
"come back in" from the IR and FRs when posting the next report.  

 

Please spend a couple extra minutes on the editing process.  Our
