Edit: Is its primary use as a daypack? If so I'd say that. Very handy feature for a backpack.

EDIT: Unless something from Gregory indicates it's genuine Velcro, substitute "hook-and-loop." If it's the real thing, then Velcro with an initial cap. Velcro's owner jealously defends its trademark.
