Richard, Updated my bio:
Backpacking Background:  I grew up spending a lot of time on my horse in competitive trail riding which taught me the importance of hard use and good equipment. Later, I joined the Air Force and spent a lot of time with a rucksack and on my feet.  Recently I've renewed my obsession with mountain biking and have built a 2002 Marin Juniper Trail that I found in Israel.  It was still new in the box!   I now live in North Dakota and work in all of the seasons. I get out camping, hiking, mountain biking and off-roading my Jeep with my wife and kids as often as my schedule allows.  My excursions are usually short day trips with occasional overnighters here and there.
  The OR is ready to go as well.

Backpacking Background: ###EDIT: Still need some information about your backpackingstyle. Take a look at Owner Reviews from Ray Estella and Bob Dorenfeld for whatshould be included. Use your own style, but tell your readers about yourtypical trip. When I was doing my basic Army training,in the middle of the last century, our group beta-tested MREs, then called LRRPrations (long range recon patrol). Tasted like sawdust unless you added hotwater, in which case they tasted like hot, wet sawdust.
