The September Call for Owner Reviews is for Techie stuff – Communication, Software, Electronics, Environmental Monitoring, Phone Apps, Charging options, Wearable Gadgets, etc.
Back to school time always reminds me of the fourth grade when our class was equipped with computers for the first time. The most we could do was play a few educational games, I'm pretty sure my son's math calculator is more powerful nowadays but the technology fires were lit and there was no putting them out. I know some of us escape to the wilderness to get away from what's become an inferno of screens, wacky ringtones and videos of kittens but there are so many fantastic gadgets that actually help us in our wanderings, I'm hoping this month you all will share your experiences by writing about your favorite or maybe least favorite techie item. If you do, you'll earn a coveted Brown Point, which moves to the front of the line when those test calls go out. If you're in but you're stumped for ideas, please refer to the http://www.backpackgeartest.org/reviews/ page for sub-categories and examples of what others have already been reviewing. Obviously, original items not already listed are strongly encouraged as long as they fit BGT standards.
The fine print: ORs do not need to comply with the Monthly Call to be posted in any given month. However, those who choose to participate in the Monthly Call will be awarded one Brownie Point per relevant review. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
