The potty trowel of choice for me is available at Home Depot for under a dollar. I run a loop of cord thru handle and clip it to my pack K Clayton Sent from my iPhone On Oct 1, 2012, at 7:54 AM, "trailyogi" <[email protected]> wrote: > Where I typically hike there is a definite need for a potty trowel. I can't imagine trying to dig a cat hole in the rocky, root-bound ground I usually see using a boot heel, fingers, etc., and it would be a good way to break a tip off my trekking pole. Having said that, the old ULA equipment "potty trowel" is way too heavy for that purpose, and the reports I've seen aren't too reassuring about its ability to function as an ice axe. >
