My first thought was ..
Did you really arrive at your destination in the dark?
And then go back down in the dark?

Nice try though.
A lot of people wouldn't have even gotten out of their house.
Keep trying, and learn from the experience.
Warm and toasty, drinking a hot drink, while it is cold outside is awesome.
Try camping in bad weather in your backyard.
