Odd Inn of the Day:Fontana Dam Shelter Appalachian Trail, North Carolina
Fontana Dam Shelter is 165.8 miles from Springer and 2018.4 miles to
Katahdin. This shelter is in between Cable Gap Shelter which is 6.6
milees south and Mollies Ridge Shelter which is 11 miles north in
Tennessee. Fontana Dam Shelter is known as the Hotel Hilton of the AT.
The "Hotel" is just a shelter, fancier than some so they call it the
