Well the dip method would still be superior, than spraying it in. Given sufficient amounts of the .5% solution, really effective applications can be done because the permethrin bonds with the cloths.  Bonding essentially removes it from the equation because it can continue to draw Permethrin out of the dipping solution, up to near the saturation of the clothing in question. You just need to add more as it is "used".

However, you should NOT deal with much more than .5-1% unless you are familiar with dealing with toxins. Generally Permethrin is safe, and most of the Saywer stuff maintains full safety levels. Dealing with 10%-40% IS an industrial application with all the attendant risks.

Sawyer's Pemethrin is not 5% permethrin it's 0.5% - one half of 1% and 99.5% inert ingredients. Before dilution if you use the soak method.

While labelled as "Military style" the Department of Defense issues a version that is 80 times stronger (40% active ingredient) used in the Armed Forces..
