Yeah, the REI Vapor trail packs are relatively light and well built, as are the osprey exos series.  Sports Chalet used to carry granite gear vapor trail and I think virga packs, though to be honest I haven't checked their selection for a few years.  I don't think I've ever been in a Bass Pro Shop, so don't know anything about their selection.

These are all in the 2 pound/1 kilo range, well-regarded, and will handle 25-35 pounds pretty well.  Obviously, you can get lighter and arguably better packs from the cottage industry, but there are lots of lightweight backpackers out there who have used these packs for years.
