I can=E2=80=99t seem to wrap my head around carrying a second set of footwe=
ar for stream crossings when walking straight through the creek with my boo=
ts on =E2=80=9Cworks=E2=80=9D for me. I wear my boots without socks and lac=
ed up across, pour the water out on the other side, put the socks back on, =
and take off back up the trail. In about a mile I change the socks out for =
a dry pair, hang the wet ones off the back of the pack, and continue on.=20

In camp, we have always used down booties because they work great over snow=
, pack small and light, and keep the feet warm while cooking dinner!
