Bikes that fit properly, for one.

Bikes, saddles, clothing, and everything else have been designed primarily by and for men until the last 20 years or so.

Most production bikes are still too tall for many women, or too long in the top tube and stem to permit a comfortable fit 
for many of our sisters.

Some lucky women can find suitable bikes and gear from among the supposedly "unisex" offerings usually available, but for serious
longer distances, even now the range of available women-specific offerings is pitifully small.
