Given that obesity has become a national epidemic, the attitude of the commissioner of Cobb County is regrettable; unfortunately politicians in southern states where obesity is highest (Georgia's obesity rate is almost 30% - http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html/#States) are most likely to belittle walking and bicycling.
