Bryce - A couple of flea market dealers in stolen property are likely contemplating new careers. Good investigative efforts by police have recently led to arrests and recovery of numerous bicycles stolen by serial thieves. Each case has been widely publicized. If your bicycle has been stolen, you may find it posted in one the websites below. Irving Morales-Sanchez (18) was arrested by San Francisco Police on May 17 after finding eight bicycles in his Silver Terrace home and an additional 106 bicycles in a storage locker in Oakland. Photos of 92 unclaimed bicycles are posted at http://www.inglesidepolicestation.com/#!__bike-registration BART Police arrested Brett Major (47) while in the act of stealing a bicycle at 24th Street Station. A search of his home recovered 7 bicycles and parts that are suspected to be stolen. Photos are posted at: http://bart.gov/news/articles/2012/news20120612.aspx To claim a bicycle you will need to show the police a theft report or show proof of ownership. As a precaution, please record the serial numbers of each of your bicycles. -Robert Raburn Director - District 4 San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) 300 Lakeside Drive, PO Box 12688 Oakland, CA 94604-2688 510-530-3444 Date: Fri, 27 Jul 2012 12:51:52 -0700 From: Bryce Nesbitt <bryce2-b4dvK1Jd0NvqlBn2x/[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Ebbc-Talk Message-ID: <CAC9LFPf0_ZoMfsukFbZ+VJzLHmD3iXC9463GZvw3GM0B-OQKFA-JsoAwUIsXosN+BqQ9rBEUg@public.gmane.org> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 On Thu, Mar 29, 2012 at 1:12 PM, lewismat <[email protected]>wrote: > My girlfriend's bike was stolen recently, and we tried to recover it by > looking through local flea markets. Could we start such a list on the EBBC website? ------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Ebbc-Talk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ebbc.org/listinfo.cgi/ebbc-talk-ebbc.org
