No need for Critical Mass, I'll just keep riding down the middle of the right lane on San Pablo Ave. on my commutes. This forces vehicles to change lanes to pass, thus giving me more than 3 feet of passing clearance. It also gives me more than 3 feet of clearance between parked vehicles. A win-win situation! I only get about one honk per month for taking the lane on my commutes so I don't think my actions are angering motorists nearly as much as Critical Mass and it still gets the point across that I'm entitled to the lane. Note, I do check my rear view mirror about every 5 seconds just to make sure vehicles behind are either changing lanes or slowing to my speed.
