[Ebbc-Talk] Round Hill Alert

Earlier today, I rode through the Round Hill Country Club neighborhood. At a T intersection (all-way stop), I rolled the stop sign. Since I was crossing the top if the T (hence no cross traffic), I probably rolled it a bit faster than I might have if it were a four way intersection.

Immediately, the Contra Costa Sheriff Deputy who'd been parked around the corner appeared in my rear-view mirror with lights flashing.

We had a pleasant conversation and he eventually let me off with a warning. But, the message was pretty clear that Round Hill residents have complained to the sheriff about bicyclists running stop signs, and so a special enforcement effort is underway.

So, if you ride through Round Hill, take special care and obey the vehicle code!!
