I thought I would add this message to the scot-cycling group; text
below was lifted from my email to sustrans.. I am
curious to know if other riders in the Stirling/Alloa area are aware
that part Cycle Route 76 involves pushing along a railway line. A
line which incidently is under review and will be put back into daily
usage sometime in the next few years. (Sorry I cannot be precise on
timing for railway enthusiasts....).

Hello
I have enquiry about cycle route 76. I have just been along a section
of this route from Cambus Kenneth towards Alloa; except I could not
find the route. I followed the route north from Cambus Kenneth took
a right turn, signed 76, and then followed a tarmac road; single
track.
Studying your map below leads me to believe the intention is to use
the railway line, disused at present, as a means of connecting to the
other side of the A907/A91 junction. There is a point where the
access to the railway has been fenced off which might have been an
option but there is no clear signage.

Is this the correct intended route? I would be grateful if you can
confirm that the route does not involve trespass on the railway line.
