Ralph have you actually looked at your pistons? I wouldn't have thought that the engine would run really advanced, without you noticing a lumpy behaviour.
Did you measure the actual timing in the end?
I suppose that the Westy is a unique case of overloading and over fueling as a necessity.

Ralph, I have an older AAZ short block with about 90K on the pistons.I don't ever think I will be able to sell it as a short block or a project motor.I would be 
willing to sell you the pistons and new rings that I had purchased for it as wellLet me know if you are interested.They are stock size.I am guessing you
