In theory... lower compression would make for lower loss due to power
used to compress the cylinder charge. (not so sure that worked out in reality).
The Turbo would make up for anything there for sure but the real loss
from lower compression is harder starting. That said, with the thinnest
gasket, you're not perfect but you're reasonably close.
It's by far, better to have an engine with a slightly thick gasket (or even
a couple sizes too thick) than to have too thin of a gasket and too much
compression!

Block was only cleaned, bored and honed, the hybrid turbo should make up
the
compression difference. Also purchased some ARP head studs for this
adventure
