it is a gasser engine from a triumph tr6, it has sat as most do for various reasons. the motor will turn, i tested using the alt shaft nut and only a qtr turn, it was an easy turn. some research suggests marvel though i remember the vw site folks here recommending the acetone/atf to break down rust. i am in no hurry with this motor so i can soak the cyls and turn, soak and turn in gradually longer amounts oftime until some point where i feel it is ready for starter assist, fresh oil and oil is getting to the upper portions of the head. i am still driving my 90 passat wag with 1.9 swap, this triumph interest is an encore career father/son project and so....if anyone knows of mostly non rusty parts or parts cars, in the midwest, i would have some interest. ray _______________________________________________ Vwdiesel mailing list [email protected] http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/vwdiesel
