Ready for winter

My 1989 Jetta TD is ready for zero weather,  with snow tires (General 
Altimax Arctics) mounted, charged battery and electric engine heaters 
ready to plug in, zero --15W synthetic in the crankcase ..... extra 
alcohol to the windshield washer container, and we are 
ready.....sitting here amazed at 65 degrees in shirt sleeves, with 
idle ice scrapers and empty snow shovels, waiting for the next 
weather shoe to drop.

I know that most of you are experiencing weather extremes of a much 
more dangerous nature, including ice, floods and tornados and I hope 
you and your vehicles and loved ones emerge at the other end of this 
extreme weather tunnel  in good shape, to start the new year.
