I was able to ignore it for a while, but I absolutely can't get the shifter into the fifth gear gate. The shift cable bushings have minimal play, I've adjusted it correctly and then plus/minus correct. More worrying, I released the side to side cable and wasn't able to move the mechanism atop the tranny into fifth either. Same thing: bounced off the divider and went into third. I am somewhat concerned that there's something deeply wrong in the case..... Ugh. If VW would sell me a brand new Sportwagen I'd walk in with a grocery sack full of cash. Sadly, I'm gonna have to fix this or just drive everywhere much slower..... -Shalyn On Feb 22, 2016 12:02 AM, "Shalyn Shourds" <[email protected]> wrote: > Anyone ever have a cable shifter end slip and blow the alignment?
