Yes, that's right.
And even, it used to be, in the old days, the tripoint between the 
Kingdom (later Republic, later Empire, later Republic again) of 
France, the sovereign Grand-duchy of Baden and the Kingdom of 
Bavaria.

btw it is only the easternmost point of continental France, as 
Corsica is located quite more in the east.
