Looks like same tripoint stick as in 2002: http://www.nicolette.dk/borderbase/tripoint.php?c1=36 <http://www.nicolette.dk/borderbase/tripoint.php?c1=36&c2=124&c3=114&orienta tion> &c2=124&c3=114&orientation= Jesper -- Borderbase - your online guide to international borders and tripoints http://www.nicolette.dk/borderbase _____ Fra: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] På vegne af Hugh Wallis Sendt: 11. juli 2006 00:16 Til: [email protected] Emne: RE: [BoundaryPoint] Tripoint Tries Yes - I took that photo (and all the others on that page). Pure speculation - but "on the ground" it is clearly evident that this is at the confluence of two very small streams, one of which (on the CZPL border) was dry on the day of my visit and the other (PLSK, becoming CZSK as it flows downhill) merely a dribble. Not conclusive evidence of the legal location of the tripoint admittedly. _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of aletheia kallos Sent: Monday, July 10, 2006 6:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [BoundaryPoint] Tripoint Tries interesting is this your doing http://www.geocachi <http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=e79c7d27-1384-4627-aa01-f654f8 e53d2f&IID=06a469e9-c0c6-40a6-8b6e-f3b7652a35bd> ng.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=e79c7d27-1384-4627-aa01-f654f8e53d2f&IID=06a469e9- c0c6-40a6-8b6e-f3b7652a35bd & if so could you say how you arrived at your conclusion that this is the exact tripoint position we were aware of a traditional position in the gorge of the brook bed tho not aware until now of a confluence type of position & also aware of a 1990 linden implantation at the supposedly exact tripoint & finally the geometrically determinate version or revision of the tripoint by the indirect demarcation of the 3 equidistance obelisks in 1995 all of which versions are mentioned here in more detail http://groups. <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/6091> yahoo.com/group/BoundaryPoint/message/6091 but to our knowledge no one has ever determined the median point by exact or even approximate measurements from the obelisks nor mentioned this what may now be a 16 year old sapling on the spot if indeed it still survives in such difficult looking conditions but can you say any more about any of this --- Hugh Wallis <hugh@our-own- <mailto:hugh%40our-own-home.com> home.com> wrote: > For some of my pics of CZPLSK see > http://tinyurl. <http://tinyurl.com/n3zrz> com/n3zrz - I took a whole > lot more but haven't had time to properly make them > available yet. > > > _____ > > From: BoundaryPoint@ <mailto:BoundaryPoint%40yahoogroups.com> yahoogroups.com > [mailto:BoundaryPoint@ <mailto:BoundaryPoint%40yahoogroups.com> yahoogroups.com] > On Behalf Of Roger > Sent: Monday, July 10, 2006 3:16 PM > To: BoundaryPoint@ <mailto:BoundaryPoint%40yahoogroups.com> yahoogroups.com > Subject: Re: [BoundaryPoint] Tripoint Tries > > > > I was there in 1961, and went on a raft trip down > the Dunajec river from > Czorsztyn to Szczawnica (both Polish villages) where > for part of the way > the right bank is Slovak.
