rhodesia was to the right & portuguese east africa was
to the left
then 
we are facing down the zambezi from the left bank as
the luangwa enters from our left
so the thalweg junction tripoint was & is just below &
to the left of dead center in this view

by comparison the last pic here

has the tripoint at far right if indeed within the
frame at all

& here is an even more indistinct tripoint
