I checked out the Humphrey book again. It's EXCELLENT...full of fantastic pictures of US-MX in 1892 and again in 1985. The pictures in this book, together with my own many visits to this border make me wonder how is the US able to build the fence on the Mexican side of the border? In several places the fence IS on the Mexican side, but in others it's located on the US side. Does anyone have an explanation for this? Dallen Dr. Dallen J.
