I have every respect for homeopathy! I am a homeopath myself. The answer you need to make to these 'smart alecs' who maintain that small doses in drinking water = homeopathy is the following: Firstly, homeopathy is not just about small doses. It's also about succussion and serial dilution - i.e. diluting appropriately one step at a time. So 3c can only come from 2c and 2c can only come from 1c etc. Secondly, homeopathy is energy medicine. We work with the energy of the substance, and this is where succussing is important to release the energy. However, should they be tempted to say that water treatment involves mixing and moving water around energetically, which could release energy if it resembles succussion, I think that the energetic aspect of the substance - but this energy is destroyed by extremes of temperature and by ultra violet light. Therefore, I don't see how anything remotely resembling homeopathy can possibly come out of water treatment. I wanted to compile a brief, comprehensive few paragraphs describing the manufacture and impact homeopathy can have, to help him understand that the toxins in tap water have minimal similarity to any aspect of homeopathy Jane ----- Original Message ----- From: Liz Brynin To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 5:29 PM Subject: Re: beyondhom Groan Yes, of course, but here you are talking about material doses. I thought we were talking about homeopathy - or the possibility of creating homeopathic remedies from traces left in the water. Any "homoeopathically energised" substances (having been diluted, swished around and sucussed by the treatment they undergo so that you could argue they are "homeopathic") would be negated by the ultra-violet from daylight. So the arguments that everyone is on homeopathy because it's in our water supply is nonsense. Only material doses survive.
