Yes indeed somewhere in the past someone got infected with the virus of Rabies. Having said that  we do not really need to find out since thd symptoms are do clear.
As for using nosodes, Ardavan has both Stram and  Lyssinum fod thd Rabies miasm. I use both in cases that I note the characteristic symptoms. 
Tuberculinum , carcinocin and medorrhinum as well as syphilinum are nosodes I use when I see their symptoms and sometimes I start the case with them. The reason we have to look out for them is because they may not come out well on repping and we need to do a miasmatic analyses and identify the miasm. The viral miasms are a more detailed concept than the psora sycosis etc but looking at the case from both perspectives is useful. Only remember that it is not just nosodes that treat miasms. Not to forget Hahneman's chronic diseases remedies.
As for Diabetes M, tub is closely related, diabetics easily get tb. You also want to look at sarcodes like thyroidinum insulinum and pancreatinum. Not many books show you how but do get a copy of Ghosh from Bjain.

Even being passed though genes, somewhere in the past, wouldn't someone have had to been exposed to rabies? 
 
Just this week I happened to click through to Ellen Madano's YouTube videos and watched one on Ardavan's miasm theory, very informative.  I had previously wanted to read about his work but his website was not up.
 
As I"ve discused on Minutus, I'm currently on Tub-K LM6  multi-doses daily, which I've alternated with a complementary antipsoric remedy currently trying to reverse inherited diabetes.,  I'm feeling such good benefits from the Tub, each time I take it, I liken it to going back in time to a pre-disease state, mentally and physically.  Though the diabetes has progressed, other physical benefits have happened and I feel Tub should have been prescribed years ago instead of now trying to play catchup while I'm in the throes of this miasmatic disease trying to outrun it.  Unfortunately many homeopaths are fearful of nosodes and/or are not fully knowledgable on miasm theory which I've recently been reading about, from books by the late Dr.Choudhury among others. 
 
I know I've benefitted by the more time consuming miasmatic prescribing approach vs. standard repping for a quick one similimum cure. Adding to some confusion, I started insulin the same time I started Tub.
 
Again, kudos to Kari Kindem, a USA classical homeopath who practices based on miasms using nosodes at length and suddenly came to me like a spirit guide wihen I needed new direction strongly urging the use of Tub which initiated my pursuit in learning more about miams.

The rabies miasm is pretty common. It is passed via genes usually .You have to learn miasms from Ardavan to understand this

I find this fascinating  Wondering how your daughter got that miasm, from inheritance or acquired?  Did someone in a past generation have rabies and passed the miasm on, doesn't seem likely since rabies come on quick after exposure and likely they wouldn't have survived to procreate unless they did during their illness.
 
Don't you have dogs? Did you during her birth?  Is it possible dog saliva passed on this rabies miasm?  If you have/had a dog was it rabies vaccinated during, after her birth?

Any other explanations how one could acquire the rabies miasm without being bitten?  Bats?

A month or so before Lyssin she had gotten Stram, based on:

 -  violent rages, 45-minute "tantrums" where she would basically try to trash the entire room, and attacking both me and herself, if I am remembering right -- thank God she was only four!; 

 - She was very fearful in general.  Would not sleep night *or* day for more than 20 minutes, unless she was being held.  

 - also frequent night terrors; she would wake up screaming and thrashing, and if she broke free, tried to run out of the front door -- all without ever waking up, and had no memory of it in the morning; in the morning she was fine.  

 - Issues with water:  water on her head would have her instantly screaming in terror -- the shower coming on accidentally, for instance, or being caught in the rain.  Other than that she was fine with swimming and bathing.  (I did get her hair washed, think I just and to coax her thru it?)

 - from birth she refused to ever *drink* water; I had to put a little juice or something into it.

Stram did give some improvement, but several doses in several potencies did not hold.  Lyssin 200c grabbed on instantly and did not let go.     

Once Lyssin was seen, the differentiation was clear:

 - she had "violence followed by quick remorse" (After a 45-minute whirlwind, screaming tantrum, she would snuggle sadly into my arms and ask, "Do you still love me, mama?"), which if I remember right is Lyssin but not Stram;

 - just days before she had started this thing, when she got especially frustrated (which happened often, e.g. no cookie, or a stuck shoelace), where she grabbed the bedding in her teeth and yanked it back and forth growling -- at that next visit I described her to our h'th as "my little mad dog"!  And he at that time had already realized that she was calling for Lyssin not Stram, enjoyed telling me his choice!
  

What it cured:
After that dose, all of the above stopped completely, "forever" -- well, 20 years and counting).  

Prior to that she used to have frequent and violent acutes; after, much healthier.  
Less fearful and more relaxed in general.


These are what were burned into my mind; I'll try to remember what other things changed too.
