Re: History of AI and Internet

I recently found in a DARPA solicitation a nice, concise, terminology for these two categories: Machine Learning (ML) for the first one, Automated Reasoning (AR) for the second.  At this point in time, AI as a standalone initialism is a marketing term for the former, and used mostly to separate people from their money and their job.

To go back to Internet history, I'd like to point out that not only AI/AR has a long history, but it is very much alive in the form of rules that can be applied to the semantic web in particular, and knowledge graphs in general (E.g., RuleML and ErgoAI).
