First, apologies for the couple of email viruses that got through. My email address is unfortunately in quite a few people's address books, and viruses pick up on those to send themselves under fake names. Because the email address is the only authenticating feature for most mailing lists, faking the right address is enough to get spam sent to the list without moderation. Anyone who knows a way to deal with this problem under mailman (perhaps a real name match requirement?), please let me know. Second, I'm not sure keeping this list running is necessary - most of the people on it seem to have lost interest in discussing matters of peer-to-peer journalism. I don't want it to end up as a zombie list that is used for nothing but transporting the occasional virus or spam. So I'd like to hear from you if we should keep this list running "just in case" ; if I don't hear anything I'll presume there's no real interest. FWIW, the infoAnarchy wiki - http://www.infoanarchy.org/wiki/wiki.pl?Homepage - is faring a lot better and turning into quite a useful resource on this and other subjects. We'll soon upgrade it to MediaWiki, which should help in dealing with the wiki-spam issue and allow for more structured discussion. _______________________________________________ P2PJ mailing list [email protected] http://lists.infoanarchy.org/mailman/listinfo/p2pj http://www.infoanarchy.org - daily p2p news
