Dear Olga * Note to Clarence Bicknell Association members and
friends*

We show below the list of screenings of the mini-documentary about Clarence
Bicknell, "There is no God but Nature". You can imagine these will be
social events as well as cultural, but the subject matter and the
extraordinary imagery of Bicknell in the mountains which French director
Rémy Masséglia has created both warrant a showing. Please forward the
information to others who might be interested in seeing the film and please
share our Facebook postings (https://www.facebook.com/clarencebicknell/).
The 3-minute trailer is at

www.vimeo.com/marcusbicknell/clarencebicknell and on the
www.clarencebicknell.com home page.

The finished 16-minute film will be released at events in Italy, France and
the UK at the end of September. The film is set in Shropshire, Bordighera
and the nearby Alps above Tende between 1875 and his death in 1918. It
revolves around the moment of revelation when Bicknell threw off his dog
collar and devoted himself so successfully to botany, archaeology and other
pursuits. The pilot is intended to show potential producers what the
mountain landscape, flora, villages and Clarence Bicknell looked like, i.e.
what there is to work with and to make it easier for the production company
or broadcaster to sell the project internally or to partners and to secure
the necessary funding. At the same time, if the film is of interest to your
members or to an association you are part of, then this can be arranged.
Versions in English, French, Italian and Esperanto will be available.
