Karaj membroj,

Mi ege bedaŭras informi vin, ke unu el la plej amataj Esperantistoj en
Britio (kaj en la mondo) – Marjorie Boulton – merkrede la 30an de aŭgusto,
forpasis 93-jaraĝa.

Kiam mi estis prezidanto de JEB, en la jaroj 1970aj, ŝi jam ĝuis la titolon
“Onklino Marjorie”, pro sia grandanima subteno ĉefe de junaj Esperantistoj,
kiuj mu.te ŝatis ŝian ofte kortuŝan poezion.

Kiam mi ekscios la funebrajn planojn, kompreneble mi sciigos ilin al vi.

Onklino Marjorie, ripozu pace.

Dear members

​I am extremely sorry to have to let you know that one of the most loved
esperantists in Britain (and in the world) - ​Marjorie Boulton - passed
away on Wednesday 30th August, aged 93. When I was President of JEB in the
1970s, she already enjoyed the title "Auntie Marjorie" because of her
magnanimous support mainly of young Esperantists, who greatly appreciated
her often moving poetry.

As soon as I know the funeral arrangements, I shall of course let you know.

Auntie Marjorie, rest in peace.
