Dear Colleagues,

I want to draw your attention to the possibility to observe from the
ease of your computer the online dispute resolution international
moot court competitions in mediation and arbitration in which law
students around the world are competing as neutrals or advocates.

In this third International Competition for Online Dispute Resolution
(ICODR 2004), students are being evaluated by professionals coming
from around the world.

For access to the arbitration rooms (arbitration running from
February 6 through March 31) or mediation rooms (mediation round 1
running from February 23-30 and Round 2 from March 3-7), please go to
https://www.westworkspace.com/ICODR2003 and type in username:
observer2004 and password: observer2004. If prompted, select browser
only.

The online arbitration and mediation competitions are being run on
the West Workspace Erooms Technology platform. The Hong Kong
International Arbitration Centre, the International Chamber of
Commerce International Court of Arbitration, the London Court of
International Arbitration, the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the
Hague, and the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the World
Intellectual Property Organization are allowing the appointment of
the student neutrals to be done in their names. The competition is
being conducted under the UNCITRAL Rules of Arbitration.

The Harvard Program on Negotiation has kindly provided problems for
the mediation competition.

In addition there are online negotiation competitions for law
students and an open competition. Seven different technologies are
available in that area see
(http://www.enegotiation.org/2004/training.html).

For further information, please go to the ICODR 2004 portal at
http://www.odr.info/icodr.php.

The ICODR 2004 competitions are sponsored by Center for Information
Technology and Dispute Resolution of the University of Massachusetts,
Hamline University School of Law, and the University of Toledo
College of Law.

Best regards,
