The Daily Journal (there are two editions, the Los Angeles Daily Journal and
the San Francisco Daily Journal) is a daily California-oriented legal
newspaper; periodically, they print a supplement entitled "Verdicts &
Settlements" which provides data about, well, verdicts and settlements,
identifying cases by the subject matter(s) concerned and eventual result.

If you have access to a law library which carries either of the Daily
Journals, you may be able to find the supplements in their archives. I think
that supplement comes out monthly, but haven't really tracked it.

Their website is <http://www.dailyjournal.com>, though I don't see any
apparent online listing of the verdict & settlement data.

Subject: [NetLawyers] Looking for stats in labor law

Help Please. I'm looking for statistics on legal costs and awards
for labor/employment law suits in California for last year or two,
arising out of employee terminations. Individual cases also of
interest, but need data to understand financial risk, trends, etc.
of suits brought by employees, ex-employees.
Thank you for any pointers.
