Stuart, Your previous post just popped into my NetLawyers folder. In the event you never found a solution, and remembering that I don't know what type video card, CRT, flat panel, or "video splitter" you are using, I have an easy solution. There are at least 4 means of transmitting video: 1. Composite 2. RBG 3. DVI 4. RF 5. Analog In your case, I presume you are using an analog card, possibly with a port that will switch to DVI for your panel monitor. So when you connected 2 analog monitors all was well. Then you introduced a panel display, most likely with a DVI input. It worked well with your video card but was not so good running behind a video splitter with an analog monitor attached on the other side of the splitter. Since you have 2 monitors that are likely different as to input, I suggest you consider a newer dual-head (2 video out connectors with special electronics behind those connectors. Such cards allow the user to run different video outputs, e.g. analog and DVI or analog and RF (TV), etc. According to Matrox, a video card manufacturer, a G550, would be one of many candidates as well as similar cards produced by other manufacturers. If your video card is not old and cost you a fortune, the only other solution is a video converter box that receives the output from a PC and converts the signal into 2 or more types of video speeds. However, video converters are generally quite expensive. So, I would suggest a dual-head video card that can output the 2 types of video that work best with each monitor. J.
