RSS feed of recalls for your car's make - model - year

hi netlawyers,

well we took some time off to try something different. we wanted to 
do a starter project that involved rss feeds and something that had a 
broad consumer focus. so here is what we did...


NHTSA RECALLS PROJECT
we took the national highway traffic safety administration database 
of 50,000+ recalls, broke it down by make-model-year for each recall 
(we had done this before, so just had to update some old code) and 
then added rss feeds for the database as a whole, each make, each 
make-model and each make-model-year.

if it does not break tonight - while i test it out a bit more - then 
we will note it the justia legal seo blog (http://onward.justia.com), 
announce a few other places and do a press release later this week or 
next. if it breaks, well send me any notes and we will work on fixing 
it asap. we will be doing a bit of clean up on the interface as well.

in any case, be a beta tester :) feel free to subscribe (see notes 
below), and track your car's recalls :)

we have a few other non-law firm web site projects that will be 
released in the near future. and lot's of law firm web sites to be 
released.

UPDATES
we will update the data on a daily basis (5 days a week) as that is 
how ofter nhtsa updates their data. the publication date of any 
recall item being the date it was entered into the nhtsa database. 
here are samples of the pages and rss feeds (rss 2.0)

so if you want to track recalls for your car, just browse through the 
listings and find the rss feed for the make-model-year 
(Ford-Explorer-1999) of your car.
