RE: Law firm cell phone policy

Two comments:

	1.	If the firm plans on issuing cell phones to its employees,
keep the phones in the firm's name as opposed to a system where the phone is
in the person's name and the person seeks reimbursement from the firm for
business use.  In the event that it becomes necessary to subpoena telephone
records, the records cannot be produced without the employee's consent if
the phone is in the name of the employee.
	2.	You may wish to consider prohibiting the use of camera
phones.  Camera phones have been used in connection with the unauthorized
copying of documents.  In the category of "if it can happen, it will happen"
there are articles concerning sexual harassment where employees have put
these phones inside womens' skirts to take pictures of private anatomy.
Many federal buildings currently do not permit camera phones on the
premises.

Fellow members! (Hi, Stuart!)  Now, after many months of reviewing 
smart phones and pocket pc's and after having waited several more 
months for the release of the new Moto Q, and even a couple 
additional weeks of hands on testing of the new Q  . . . I have been 
charged with soliciting existing policies governing the use, 
ownership, billing, privacy issues, etc. with regard to law firm 
issued and owned cell/smart phones, phone numbers, etc. as we 
consider purchasing and rolling out several dozen of these bad boys.

Anyone have any vetted text they might be willing to share so that I 
don't need to recreate the wheel?

How about pointing me to any articles on the issue for guidance in 
crafting our own?  What issues should we absolutely cover, etc., etc.
