Audie Award Finalists

The Audio Publishers Association recently released the 130 finalists 
for the 8th annual Audie Awards. The awards, which honor excellence 
in audio publishing, will be presented in 27 categories. Finalists 
were selected by a panel of more than 150 judges who were 
responsible for reviewing a record 668 audiobooks submitted for 
consideration. All titles submitted must have been released between 
November 1, 2001, and October 31, 2002. 

This year, the APA is also sponsoring an interactive contest on its 
website, www.audiopub.org, in which the general public is invited to 
submit their choices for the winning audiobook in each category. 
Each person who enters the contest will be entered into a drawing 
where the grand prize winner will receive all 2003 Audie winners and 
AudioFile Magazine's special Audiobook Month Edition.
