You might want to try an interlibrary loan, yourself, from your public 
library for the Asimov "Foundations" series.  Just ask the librarian for 
help, as one myself, I assure you we don't mind!  I quite enjoy Science 
Fiction and Fantasy books, especially David Weber.  Baen has a free online 
library that you might find interseting.  It is at their website, 
www.baen.com/library.  I use it quite often when I feel the need for a 
Science Fiction book, and have read everythin I have in stock at my little 
library.

I have recently finished a non-fiction book entitled "Cold Burial" by Clive 
Powell-Williams.  It is about Jack Hornby, his cousin Edgar Christian and 
Harold Adlard, and their fatal expedition into the Barrens of the Canadian 
North.  It was based on Christian's diary of the time.  Very chilling and 
depressing, but somehow inspiring.  The men never lost faith.
