PT0 Project Gutenberg Newsletter

This is just a short informal Newsletter to let you know
that several of the major Project Gutenberg people are
on the road this week, and thus this would be a good week
or two for any of you more independent souls to send in
things you have been working on. . .otherwise things may
grind to a halt, as it appears started over the last day
when we only seem to have produced one eBook.

I'll be home in a week, and can hopefully take up some of
the slack, presuming my computer want to start up again.

Meanwhile, we should be approaching 12,000 eBooks by the
time I am back long enough to write up my usual Part O
portion of the Newsletter. . .that will be two weeks from
today, as I arrive too late to do one next Wednesday.

In addition, I will be adding a listing of the languages
available in PG eBooks. . .~29 as of today, if I get to
include DNA as a language. . .I think it's worthwhile,
though not of that much concious interest to everyone.
However, I do think that The Human Genome WILL go down
in history as one of the GREAT publications.

We should also have more news shortly on the languages
front, as we are in the midst of adding a collection
with a VERY wide selection of books in 104 languages,
and yet another collection of over 1,000 eBooks in a
variety of European languages, from Editions Luc Pire,
in Brussels, Belgium, with whom I met on this trip.

Given the success of even a protion of these efforts,
Project Gutenberg should be able to continue to grow
at the current rate, and remain on track for a million
eBooks less than 10 years from now.
