250th eBook from PG Australia

Project Gutenberg EXTRA!!!

Today Project Gutenberg of Australia released their 250th eBook,
and a couple more, 8 days before they complete their second year.

Australia is a country BIG on volunteerism, but doesn't even rank
in the top 50 countries in population. . .Amazing!!!

If we could just get something like Project Gutenberg of Australia
started in just 40 of the 240 countries of the world, they would
produce 10,000 eBooks in just their first two years!!!

We would LOVE the opportunity to do eBooks from more cultures and
more languages!!!  We currently have eBooks in ~20 languages, and
would love to add at least one new language every year!

HUGE Congratulations to PG of Oz and all who helped them!!!!!!!

As of July 24 we are over 7/8 of the way to 10,000 eBooks!!!:

That means there are ~1220- left to go until we get to #10,000!

Currently we have ~139 days to go to December 10, 2003,
a decade since eBook #100, and are averaging 8+ per day,
so we obviously need to do just one more book per day
to average the 9 per day needed to make that goal. . . .


Next week, hopefully about 70 more!

We are currently running at about 99% of Moore's Law growth.
Perhaps YOUR contribution will bring us up to 100%!!!
