Per the below, the Project Gutenberg collection is currently unavailable via ibiblio.org (http or ftp). It should be available later today, if the recovery goes smoothly. You can select an alternate mirror via http://gutenberg.net/list.html if you need content immediately. Sorry for the trouble! New files ready for posting will remain in queue until the ibiblio server is up again (though they will still be announced to the 'posted' list as usual). -- Greg ----- Forwarded message from John Reuning <[email protected]> ----- From: John Reuning <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: [ibiblio-announce] filesystems offline temporarily Date: 12 May 2003 12:19:08 -0400 Due to multiple failed drives that appeared during the planned maintenance, the /public/ftp filesystem is currently offline. Until the drive rebuilds are complete, this data is unavailable. Affected services include all ftp content, parts of iupac.org, and all of the Linux Documentation Project. On the bright side, however, the main web site and most hosted domains have been back online since earlier this morning. Because of the extended downtime for certain filesystems, we decided to remount /public/html on login.ibiblio.org. We'll have to kick everyone off again, though, to bring things back to normal.
