Again, this issue has been hashed over many times in many forums with much
better analysis that what one will find here.  I think most people who try
<pre> will rapidly come to the conclusion that it just doesn't cut it.  Let
someone who cares more about poetry than I have an argument with Lee.
Google for a while on "html poetry" and you will see pretty much the full
range of ideas -- most of them very bad.
