I think it more likely that this will be the reason that print will 
continue to lose ground to electronic representations. Mr. Lewis finds 
text is more legible when it's presented as white text on a black 
background. Try changing that on a printed publication. I find that for 
narratives a sans-serif font is less tiring than a serifed font. Try 
making that change in a printed publication. And there are enough people 
who can't easily read standard print that there is a whole industry 
dedicated to "large print" editions; an industry that simply won't 
exists for e-books.

Electronic devices will continue to improve their legibility and 
resolution, but print books will never be able to increase their 
mutability. With print you can have "any color you want, so long as it's 
black." With e-books everyone can "have it your way."
