It is my sincere hope that all mystery novelists who have researched  
clever murder techniques have the good judgement to present  
inaccurate versions of them in their novels.

P. S. Who wrote the story about someone murdering someone by clubbing  
them with a frozen leg of lamb, then proceeded to cook the lamb and  
serve a portion of it to one of the inspectors who came to  
investigate? That sounds as if it would work. In fact, my wife works  
in an animal hospital and told me that some Thanksgivings ago a  
client had a cat get killed by leaping on the kitchen counter,  
managing to pull a frozen turkey off the counter, and falling to the  
floor underneath the turkey.
