 No, we're *not* talking about Mundania. 

Tor is, (or was), the cureent publisher of the hugely successful Xanth series, and several other commercial titles including his excellent second   autobiography, How Precious Was That While. Before signing on with Tor, Mr. Anthony was with Baen Books. He parted ways with Baen over an acrimonious lawsuit in which he prevailed. It had to do with the compensation to him from his and Mercedes Lackey's collaboration, "If I Pay Thee Not in Gold". 

If Mundania currently holds the contract for *those* particular titles, that's certainlynews to me. According to my understanding, Mr Anthony  backed Mundania financially in order to reissue Pornucopiea and several of his other less somewhat less commercially successful titles. According to my understanding, Pornucopiea is now with a different publisher, however, I don't have the details as to why. 

Personally, I have nothing but the greatest respect for Piers Anthony both for his gracious treatment of fledgling authors like myself and the fact that he has never allowed himself to be intimidated into not standing up for his rights and being counted when it actually counts. In his first autobiography, Bio of An Ogre, Mr Anthony described the heavy price he paid for standing up to his very first publisher when he caught them cheating him out of his foreign royalties. This was also why he left the SFWA and does not support them to this day.

Personally, I wish we had more people in this industry like Mr. Anthony. Not only has he always refused to be a part of the snotty behavior and scummy politics that infest commercial publishing, (and here I do *not* except electronic publishing), he continues to set a sterling example of what a successful author should be as well as how they should behave toward those who are just starting out.

In closing, I'm not exactly sure what was meant by the crack about 'daylight saving' and would appreciate it if someone would enlighten me.
