Following up on something someone told to me in private email, I went to both stores mentioned above and ran searches on 4 indie authors, myself included. All 4 indie authors' titles appeared at the Knowbetter Fictionwise store. Only one of them (the only Epic member) appeared at the Epic Fictionwise store. This would seem to mean that Epic's store is preventing potential sales by filtering out the works of non-Epic authors. If so, why? ... And this is NOT meant as a criticism. Evading potential sales is still legal, AFIK. I just figured there must be some kind of a reason worth more than any successfully evaded sales.
