Question about EPIC membership

I was going to just use the contact list on the website and then I 
noticed that several of the people listed post here on a very regular 
basis.  With the thought that perhaps my question might be of interest 
to other newbies out there, I decided to ask it here instead.  How long 
after one applies for membership to EPIC does it take for someone to be 
in touch?

I'd like to join, and I filled out the application form a couple of 
weeks ago.  Haven't heard anything, and I checked my Yahoo groups 
setting to make sure it is correct and all that.

Any enlightenment would be appreciated!
