I process lots and lots of documents in e-form through UpLib,
primarily PDFs, Word docs, scanned paper, and Web pages.  None of
these support Dublin Core natively, so far as I know (am I wrong? --
it's been a while since I've checked).  In addition, the metadata
contained in these document types is almost always wildly incorrect,
apparently because it's inserted automatically by various document
preparation systems which have only the haziest notion of what the
metadata might be; these systems are rarely connected to the
publishing systems, and the publishing systems never seem to insert
the correct metadata.

The best publishing source I've found for metadata is the New York
Times, which embeds correct metadata in each Web-published article.
But it's not Dublin Core; instead, it uses a newspaper-oriented system
of metadata.
