I agree. Linux is not a limiting factor for me, but then I'm a tech  
journalist covering open source. But Consumer Reports is more aimed at  
my mother and my non-techie friends. I'm sorry, but Linux WOULD be a  
limiting factor for them.

And yes, Consumer Reports bias towards Windows machines is still going  
strong, though they often choose certain Mac models as Best Buys.

I agree, I was actually kind of excited about it.

Wish there was a Kindle Reader for Linux/Mac/Etc... But I doubt Amazon  
will go that way. They want to sell razors, methinks. I am not sure if  
they would be happy selling blades. (ie people with iPods buy from  
iTunes but so do people who just play music from the desktop).
